Why You Should Never Lift a Washing Machine

Front-load washing machines contain heavy concrete counterweights to balance the drum during high-speed spins. Lifting these machines improperly can cause severe back injuries. Even for top-load machines, lifting is risky and unnecessary.

Step-by-Step Installation (The Sliding Method)

Step 1: Adjust and Lock the Trolley Measure the base of your washing machine (width and depth). Unlock the adjustment clips on your CNS trolley, set the exact dimensions, and lock it firmly. Once adjusted, press down on the brake levers on all four caster wheels. The trolley must not roll during installation.

Step 2: Position the Trolley Place the locked trolley directly in front of or immediately beside the washing machine.

Step 3: The Tilt Technique Stand in front of the machine. Place your hands on the top edge and gently push it away from you. The machine will tilt backward, resting only on its two rear feet. *You are balancing the machine, not lifting it.*

Step 4: Slide the Trolley While holding the machine tilted back with one hand (or having a helper hold it), use your foot to slide the locked trolley partially underneath the exposed front base of the washing machine.

Step 5: Lower and Walk Gently lower the machine so its front feet rest on the front edge of the trolley. Now, tilt the machine sideways (left or right) and "walk" it fully onto the trolley. The machine will slide easily onto the rubber corner pads.

Step 6: Final Adjustment Ensure all four feet of the machine are resting exactly on the anti-vibration rubber pads of the trolley. Adjust the leveling feet of the washing machine if there is any wobble.
